Buffalo Chicken Tenders<\/strong>……………………………………………………………………………………<\/td>\n| <\/td>\n | 9.00<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n No messing around here folks.\u00a0 Take it or leave it.\u00a0 That’s the Greek flair people have come to know and love!\u00a0 Let us begin…<\/p>\n Presentation\u00a0<\/strong>Score: 3.5\/5<\/em><\/p>\nThe order arrived on a contemporary style rectangle appetizer plate.\u00a0 My eyes immediately noticed that the buffalo tenders were not fully bathed in buffalo sauce.\u00a0 This could either mean laziness by the chef or a buffalo sauce packing a wallop.\u00a0 In this case I think it was more of the former.\u00a0 Not a deal breaker by any means.\u00a0 The bleu cheese was served in disposable container, however.\u00a0 If there’s one thing I love more then buffalo tenders, it’s the environment.\u00a0 I wasn’t sure what those green or orange wedges were.\u00a0 I’ve never seen a meat or cheese like those before, so I stayed away.<\/p>\n Chicken <\/strong>Score: 5\/5<\/em><\/p>\nFlavorful.\u00a0 Moist.\u00a0 Tender.\u00a0 \u00a0Succulent.\u00a0 I could go on using sexual innuendos masquerading as adjectives but I’ll quit while I’m ahead.\u00a0 This chicken was all that was right in the world.\u00a0 Fresh tendies with the perfect texture.\u00a0 No strings, no tendons, no bullshit. A tendy strong enough for a man but gentle enough for the lady.\u00a0 They nailed it.\u00a0 Good job fam.<\/p>\n Breading\u00a0<\/strong>Score: 4\/5<\/em><\/p>\nSome say the breading is the glue that holds this family together.\u00a0 I have no idea what that means, but this is a nice, simplistic breading that gets the job done.\u00a0 Hints of salt and pepper can be found throughout.\u00a0 Fried to a nice golden brown.\u00a0 A side effect of the less than 100% sauce coating application means the bread did not buckle under the weight of it’s counterpart.\u00a0 A blessing in disguise perhaps.<\/p>\n Sauce\u00a0<\/strong>Score: 3\/5<\/em><\/p>\nAhh, the American standard.\u00a0 Frank’s Red Hot.\u00a0 A staple in every patriot’s kitchen, and also a great way to tell who’s a communist.\u00a0 Some may think using Frank’s is the easy way out, but why mess with something that works?\u00a0 I can’t really go more into this topic, as this has been debated many times by people with far more wisdom.\u00a0 They played it safe here, and it paid off.<\/p>\n Dressing\u00a0<\/strong>Score: 4\/5<\/em><\/p>\nUpon first sight I thought I had been served some kind of poppy seed dressing or worse, Caesar.\u00a0 I started to tense up and was wondering if I was going to have to start administering Stone Cold Stunners.\u00a0 Luckily after I sampled it with my pinky I realized my anger had been misplaced.\u00a0 It was my old pal, bleu cheese.\u00a0 Creamy and with little chunks, this bleu cheese did what it needed to do.\u00a0 A very nice complement to the assorted and textures my palate had been receiving.\u00a0 I doubt that this bleu cheese was homemade, but I doubt this happens outside of Greece.<\/p>\n Final Score: 4.3\/5<\/strong><\/p>\nWhen I was averaging out the scores, I had come up with a 3.9 but I couldn’t let that stand.
